$30.00 an hour. Whistler has the highest living wage in British Columbia, $29.60, and we pay above it. Front-of-house at the big Nordic spa in town runs $21 to $22.

Your opportunity at Gatherwell

Gatherwell is hot and cold, by the water. Sauna, cold plunge, and the particular kind of conversation that happens when a group of strangers have just done something slightly difficult together. We've spent three years building a place people leave feeling connected, not just warmer.

This winter we're bringing Gatherwell to Rainbow Park on Alta Lake: a sauna built for actual snow, with an enclosed, insulated host booth so you're warm and dry between sessions. It's a six-month winter pilot, October through April, with every intention of extending if it works. We're looking for Hosts.

The Host is the face of Gatherwell. You're the first person a guest meets, and a big part of why they come back. You run the session, you keep the heat right and the cold honest, and you read the room, knowing when to leave a group to their own conversation, and when to be the one who starts it.

It's a real job outdoors, in a Whistler winter. Some of it is sweeping and shovelling and hauling wood in the dark. The rest of it is the best part of someone's week, and you're the reason it went well.

We build shifts around riding days. Tell us which mornings you want on the mountain and we'll roster around them. We'd rather have you for the season than have you burn out in January.

We pay the living wage for the community you'd be working in. Not minimum wage, not "competitive": the published local living wage, and we adjust it when that number moves.
